I really think the fact that Obama admitted his bad here is refreshing. He's self-aware- a quality George Bush is sorely lacking. Maybe he will admit he fucked up in his memoir no publisher wants to promote, but I doubt it. It's hard for me to get pissed over such a pseudo-controversy, a quasi-non-issue. The fact that it's been resolved takes all of the little wind out of its sails, in my not so humble opinion. I can't wait to see what other kind of adorable shit Obama's peeps get into over the next four years.

Then Elizabeth said something along the lines of, "right lets award him making a mistake."
Grrr....
I don't know about you but I love Obama more and more. I know it won't last forever, but so far so good. I especially love his statement that it's not about never making mistakes, it’s about owning up to them when you do and trying to do better in the future. I think I swooned a little. :)
I saw this all over the news this morning in the 10 minutes before I ran out the door. And that's exactly it--he admitted a mistake (gasp!). That must actually mean he's human. Go figure.
do you think gary hart might have stayed n the race if that boat had a more innocuous name? john kerry got swift-boated while aWol got a pass?
this is all headed for double standard street, where easy-livin repugs can pull it off coz they have a higher % of "teflon-coated" sociopaths
how'd they get that teflon, anyway...
people make mistakes, a mistake was made it was sorted and Obama apologised!! These are not the actions of a real politician!! lol. Politicians lie, they hide there mistakes until the last possible moment when they appear outside their home with wife and children crying for forgivness.
How dare Obama and his maverick ways upset this finally tuned system of lies and deceit!!!! lol
I am impressed with his response. Too often (especially in the last 8 years) we see politicians too stubborn and full of pride to admit their faults. They simply stand by their faults and dig the hole deeper and deeper. How long did it take Bush to admit his uber-screw up called Katrina?
Daschle was a mistake from the word go. Obama did show some class in how he nandled it though.
I'm much more concerned about what Zinni is saying. If they really treated Zinni that way, then you have to start wondering wtf is going on.
I tagged your blog for an award! Yours was one of the first blogs I came across when I started my blog, and I love reading it. I always end up laughing.
